Vinted Users Voice Anger About Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its size classifications for women's and children's clothes but did not contact all users about the change.
Online Platforms Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category than originally posted due to the recalibration.
The company said the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and update the measurements by hand when needed, which has left users frustrated.
Measurement Approach Modifications
Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.

One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she said.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, located in England, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: last year, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
